Submission (November 12, 2023)
The fall 2023 Convergence Innovation Competition (CIC) invites students to submit projects addressing broad social and global concerns highlighted through the competition’s areas of interest. Student projects are submitted electronically. Team submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
The two-part judging process will include:
Round 1: First Round Judging (All Teams) - November 13-19, 2023
The first round of judging will be a preliminary review of submission materials by domain expertise and judges with industry experience during the week of November 13-19, 2023. This group of judges will determine the CIC finalists. The CIC planning team will contact selected finalists as well as provide feedback to all teams via email on November 20, 2023.
Round 2: Finalists' Judging - November 28, 2023
CIC finalists demonstrate their projects and answer questions from a panel of judges with expertise in entrepreneurship and innovation. Sessions will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. ET. We plan to host these conversations in person, if possible, and will confirm the chosen medium with teams during the confirmation process.
CIC Winner Reception (November 30, 2023)
The competition finalists will discuss their experience participating in the competition and winners will be announced. The session will be at 12:30 p.m. ET at the Tech Square Research Building. The session will be livestreamed and a link will be posted here in mid-November.
