Interactivity@GT 2025
Georgia Tech’s Institute for People and Technology (IPaT) and Master’s Program in Human-Computer Interaction (MS-HCI) are pleased to announce Interactivity@GT, the annual research showcase and networking event for industry featuring our students and faculty engaged in people-centric innovation.
The event will take place in Georgia Tech’s Technology Square Research Building (TSRB) on:
Tuesday, February 11, 2025
12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Attendance is free, but does require advanced registration. If you are presenting or showcasing a demonstration, no need to register to attend here.

The panel will explore the technology innovation landscape in Atlanta and its broader national and global impact. Discussion topics include:
- What makes Atlanta a unique hub for tech innovation?
- How can Georgia Tech students, faculty, and researchers engage with startups and corporate innovation incubators?
- What advice do industry leaders have for students entering the field?

A pioneer in technology law, Partner John C. Yates launched the firm’s technology practice more than 35 years ago and has practiced exclusively in this area since 1981. John has been directly or indirectly involved in assisting hundreds of tech companies and entrepreneurs in raising and closing financings from startups and angel investments through venture capital and successful $1 billion M&A exits and IPOs.

Brooke Perez is the Regional Economic Development Manager for the Metro North region. Brooke's deep passion for advocating and supporting our state’s workforce efforts continues to drive her in her new role where she supports the success of her communities through leadership development, strategic planning, job creation strategy, and assisting companies with expansion efforts. Her support extends to prospective new businesses to the area as well as existing companies who are ready to expand.

Debra Lam
Partnership for Inclusive Innovation, Georgia Tech – Founding Director
Debra Lam is the Founding Director of the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation, a statewide public-private partnership committed to investing in innovative solutions for shared economic prosperity. She continues to lead smart communities and urban innovation work at Georgia Tech. Prior to this, she served as Pittsburgh’s inaugural Chief of Innovation & Performance where she oversaw all technology, sustainability, performance, and innovation functions of city government. Before that, she was a management consultant at a global engineering and design firm, Arup. She has received various awards, including being named one of the top 100 most influential people in digital government by Apolitcal. She has worked and lived in the United Kingdom, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. A graduate of Georgetown University and the University of California, Berkeley, Debra serves on the board of the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta and was most recently appointed by the U.S Department of Commerce to the Internet of Things Advisory Board.
