Kiichiro DeLuca is a partner at WERU Investment, a global early-stage venture capital firm based in Tokyo, where he leads the firm’s US investments in frontier technology areas. He began his career as an aerospace engineer working on a number of spaceflight projects in the US and Japan in the private and public sectors, including NASA/JPL, then led business development at technology startups in San Francisco and Tokyo, prior to joining WERU Investment. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering with Highest Honors from Georgia Tech.

Sunny Huang headshot

Sunny Huang

Sunny Huang graduated from University of Edinburgh, Management of Training and Development, Master program in UK. Mr. Huang holds both EMBA Degrees of National Taiwan University and Fudan University (China). After joining family business New Wide Group in 2003, he drives the Group’s revenue from 3 billion to 30 billion NT Dollars through the global supply chain setting and corporate structuring. His achievements earned him the 2017 China Outstanding Young Textile Entrepreneur Award and the Outstanding Taiwanese Entrepreneur - Heritage Award.
 
Meanwhile, Sunny is also dedicated to cultivating the cross-strait start-up ecosystem. In 2015, he founded WorkFace Taipei, a community for cross-strait entrepreneurs, and in 2017, Sunny established the Smart Capital Angel Club, now the largest angel investment club in Taiwan. To date, Smart Capital has invested in nearly 60 projects, with 480 angel investor members.
In recent years, Sunny has written columns for Business Weekly and Global Views Monthly. He is currently a management columnist for the Harvard Business Review and has authored two books, Concepts and Let Others Win.

Allen Jong is General Manager of the Gadget Product Business at Acer Inc., and since 2022 has served as President of Acer Gadget Inc. (AGT), a subsidiary of Acer.

AGT spun-off from Acer in 2018 as part of the group’s strategy to stay abreast of ever-changing market trends by encouraging internal corporate ventures. Headquartered in Taiwan and led by Jong, AGT focuses on PC/mobile peripherals, smart gadgets, and innovative lifestyle products with AIoT integrated services.  

Jong joined Acer in 2006 in the Stationary Computing Business and was responsible for the product planning of desktop PCS, All-in-One PCs, and servers. From 2012 to 2016 he served as General Manager of Product Planning at Acer’s China operations. In 2016, upon returning to the Taipei headquarters, Jong oversaw Notebook Business Management. Later, in 2017, he was appointed as General Manager of the Gadget Product Business.

Albert Ting is the Chairman of CX Technology Corporation, Chairman of Phu Hung Securities and Phu Hung Fund Management of Vietnam. Born in Taipei, Mr. Ting has been a long term investor of Vietnam over the last 30+ years.

Mr. Ting is a graduate of Harvard University (A.B) and MIT Sloan School of Management (MBA). Mr. Ting has an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy from National Chi Nan University. Mr. Ting is a 2011 Eisenhower Fellow, and a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute of the United States Office of Personnel Management. Mr. Ting is also an Honorable Fellow of the Chinese Military Academy and an Honorary Alumnus of National Chi Nan University.

Mr. Ting also serves as the Chairman of World Vision Taiwan, Chairman of Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Foundation, Chairman of Walter Fei Memorial Foundation, a Council Member of Germany’s Global Solutions Initiative, a Steering Committee Member of Digital Asia Hub, a Board Member of MIT Sloan School Asia Executive Board, a Director of Association for Victims Support affiliated with Taipei District Prosecutors’ Office, and a Member of Eisenhower Fellowship President’s Advisory Council.

In the past, Mr. Ting served as Vice President of Morgan Stanley in the United Kingdom. Mr. Ting also served as a Director of First Commercial Bank and was appointed by Taiwan’s Ministry of Finance as its representative on the board of Mega Financial Holdings. Mr. Ting served as President of MIT Alumni Association of Taiwan, a Trustee of the Fay School, Massachusetts, a Vice Chairman of World Vision Taiwan, and a Professor of Practice of National Normal University.

Mr. Ting has been awarded the Justice Professional Medal 1st Class by the Ministry of Justice, a Ministry of Defense Honorary Memorial Insignia, a Certificate of Commendation from the National Academy of Civil Service, a Certificate of Gratitude from the National Fire Agency, Ministry of Interior, a Certificate of Gratitude from the Yunlin County Magistrate, a Certificate of Merit from Hanoi Stock Exchange, a Certificate of Merit from People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and a Certificate of Commendation from the Minister of Justice of Vietnam.
