Welcome to the IPaT Prototyping Lab!
The Prototyping Lab is a space maintained by the Institute for People and Technology (IPaT) to allow researchers and students to:
- Rapidly prototype new ideas
- Collaborate with other builders and makers
- Learn to use industry standard equipment
Equipment in the lab may be used for academic and research purposes across the entire Georgia Tech community. Please note, everyone who enters the lab is subject to the Prototyping Lab Rules and Policies.
BuzzCard access to the lab may be granted after completing a safety orientation session during one of the times noted on our calendar.
Take a look at some of the equipment we have available, or some frequently asked questions about the space and our policies!
Where is the lab?
The Prototyping Lab is located in Technology Square Research Building (TSRB) basement, room S21!
Note: to access the basement you must use the TSRB freight/service elevator which is the closest to the stairs. Please ask the front desk security for assistance if you have trouble locating the right elevator!
