F. L. "Bud" Suddath and Frances "Lee" Gafford Suddath Fellowship Award

The F. L. "Bud" Suddath and Frances "Lee" Gafford Suddath Fellowship Award has been established by the family, friends, and colleagues of Bud Suddath to stimulate graduate research in the fields of biology, biochemistry, and biomedical engineering. The award is given annually to a doctoral student from Georgia Tech who has demonstrated significant research achievement in the field of biology, biochemistry, or biomedical engineering, as exemplified by peer reviewed publications and other scholarly contributions.

In addition to receiving a scholarly development award of $1,000, the recipient will be recognized in IBB communications, and give a talk at the Suddath Symposium to present their research and how the award impacts their research.

Second ($500) & Third ($250) place awards will also be considered!

Application Details

 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Current Georgia Tech Ph.D. students accepted for candidacy in any field of study who are conducting biological or biochemical research at the molecular or cellular level. Applicants must be actively pursuing a Ph.D. at the time of the Suddath Symposium in February 2025.
