The educational mission of the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute (GTMI) is to create the next generation of world-class manufacturing innovation thought leaders and practitioners through:
- Research: Performance of preeminent basic and translational manufacturing research to solve industry-critical, “real world” grand manufacturing challenges, and improve manufacturers’ competitiveness
- Technology Transfer: Translation of basic manufacturing research into high-value products and services that improve the economy and human condition in Georgia, the United States, and around the world
- Coursework: Delivery of world-class manufacturing and innovation-focused coursework to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaboration with industry, professional societies, educational institutions, and government designed to enhance manufacturing education and awareness at any age, skill, academic, and experience level
