Institute for Neuroscience, Neurotechnology, and Society (INNS) Executive Director Search

INNS brain

The Georgia Institute of Technology is excited to announce the internal search for the inaugural Executive Director of the Institute for Neuroscience, Neurotechnology, and Society (INNS). This new Interdisciplinary Research Institute (IRI) will build upon the foundation laid by the Neuro Next Initiative, fostering cutting-edge research and innovation at the intersection of neuroscience, neurotechnology, and societal impact. INNS aims to advance our understanding of the brain and nervous system, develop transformative technologies, and address critical societal challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration and engagement.

We will soon invite qualified candidates within the Georgia Tech community to apply for this pivotal leadership role and help shape the future of neuroscience and neurotechnology at our institution.

Town Hall

We invite you to join us for a hybrid town hall on Wednesday, November 6th at 3:15 p.m. to discuss the search for the Executive Director of the new Institute for Neuroscience, Neurotechnology and Society (INNS). This event will be hosted in-person at the Pettit Microelectronics Building - 102A&B Conference Room and online via Teams. All members of the Georgia Tech community are welcome!

Our goal is to keep the community informed about the search process, answer your questions, and gather your feedback on what qualities and priorities you believe are essential for the future executive director. Julia Kubanek, Georgia Tech Vice President for Interdisciplinary Research, will kick off this important discussion. If you are unable to attend the town hall, we encourage you to fill out this brief survey to share your thoughts.

Your input is crucial as we shape the future leadership of the INNS, so we hope to see you there!
