In partnership between Georgia Tech and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the ATL CleanTech Connect hosts quarterly socials to engage members of the Greater Atlanta clean tech community to support innovation, ideation, startups and investment in clean tech and sustainability focused businesses. Industry, venture capitalists, Georgia Tech faculty and local leaders lead conversations related to cleantech opportunities in the region. 2025

The first ATL CleanTech Connect for 2025 was on the topic, "The Water Energy Nexus." The event was held on February 12, 2025 at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE). More than 75 attendees participated in an engaged panel discussion that included the following speakers:

  • Doll Avant, CEO, Aquagenuity
  • Jahanzeb “Jahn” Khan, Founder, President & CEO, 4Earth Inc.
  • Melissa L. Meeker, CEO, The Water Tower; IWA Fellow

The panel was moderated by Marta Hatzell, Woodruff Professor, Associate Professor, SEI Interim Deputy Director, Georgia Tech. 

2024

The inaugural ATL CleanTech Connect was held on January 17, 2024 at the CODA building on Tech campus, moderated by Cynthia Curry, Sr. Director of Cleantech & Smart Cities Ecosystem at the Metro Atlanta Chamber and featured speakers included:

In April, the event brought in speakers to discuss the topic "Financing Cleantech Hardtech Startups." 

On July 17, ATL CleanTech Connect met at The Clubhouse, located in the heart of Tech Square, at 848 Spring Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia, 30308. Discussions centered on "Decarbonization of the Built Environment" with a highly engaged panel that included:

  • Sam Culpepper, Southface, Program Manager, Design Consulting
  • Ramtin Motahar, Joulea, Founder, CEO 

In October 2024, the event was held at the ASW Whiskey Exchange on the topic "Sustainable Aviation – Ready for Liftoff?" Featured speakers for this event were: 

  • Glen Burks, Vice President of Operations, Archer Aviation
  • Dayne Delahoussaye, Director, State and Local Affairs and Fuels Programs, LanzaJet
