Abstract: Across all industries, various forms of technology are utilized to facilitate operations and processes. These technologies generate cost savings, promote efficiency, improve safety and offer several other benefits while varying in innovation and use.  This presentation will discuss what these technologies are and the relevant use cases of their application.

Bio: Geoffrey Patton is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a Bachelors degree in Operations Management. He additionally has a Masters degree from Troy University in Management with a concentration in Leadership and Organization Effectiveness. Geoffrey has worked in various roles related to supply chain and manufacturing, beginning as an entry-level Refractory Technician for Nucor Steel in Tuscaloosa, AL. Since then, he has worked as a Manufacturing and Procurement Business Analyst, Manufacturing ERP Functional Lead, Senior Strategy Consultant and most recently an IT Project Manager for Georgia Pacific.
