BBISS Communications Lab

The communications landscape is changing rapidly with the ubiquity of social media and mobile devices. The world of academia is increasingly utilizing these "new media" methods in addition to, or as a supplement for, traditional academic publishing. Audio-visual content is frequently required for student's assignments and projects, researcher's grant applications, and documentation of research work product. BBISS wanted to provide a resource so that media content produced by the Georgia Tech sustainability community could be of a higher tier of quality than the average mobile phone video clip in order to elevate sustainability related communications in the media landscape.

BBISS has put together a small video and audio production studio in one of the offices in our suite. The room has been acoustically treated for moderate sound isolation, and control of ambient noise and reverberation. The equipment has been stocked and configured with an eye towards ease of use, versatility, and a high quality of the end product.
