Aaron Drysdale

Aaron Drysdale, a Master of Computer Science graduate from Georgia Tech, is the Chief Technologist at the Cloud Hub. He manages the proposal process for research grants, organizes industry training sessions, and provides direct technical support to research teams utilizing cloud resources. Aaron's role also involves collaborating with Microsoft’s technical teams to resolve complex issues, ensuring seamless and efficient research progress. His expertise and proactive approach are vital to the success of the Cloud Hub's mission to advance innovative research.

Helen Xu

Helen Xu

Helen Xu comes to Georgia Tech from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory where she was the 2022 Grace Hopper Postdoctoral Scholar. She completed her Ph.D. at MIT in 2022 with Professor Charles E. Leiserson. Her main research interests are in parallel and cache-friendly algorithms and data structures. Her work has previously been supported by a National Physical Sciences Consortium fellowship and a Chateaubriand fellowship. She has interned at Microsoft Research, NVIDIA Research, and Sandia National Laboratories. 

Peter Kasson

Peter Kasson

Peter Kasson is an international leader in the study of biological membrane structure, dynamics, and fusion, with particular application to how viruses gain entry to cells. His group performs both high-level experimental and computational work – a powerful combination that is critical to advancing our understanding of this important problem. His publications describe inventive approaches to the measurement of viral fusion rates and characterization of fusion mechanisms, and to the modeling of large-scale biomolecular and lipid assemblies.

Thomas Conte


Tom Conte holds a joint appointment in the Schools of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is the founding director of the Center for Research into Novel Computing Hierarchies (CRNCH). His research is in the areas of computer architecture and compiler optimization, with emphasis on manycore architectures, microprocessor architectures, back-end compiler code generation, architectural performance evaluation and embedded computer system architectures.

Ada Gavrilovska


Ada Gavrilovska is an Associate Professor at the College of Computing and a researcher with the Center for Experimental Research in Computer Systems (CERCS) at Georgia Tech. Her interests include experimental systems, focusing on operating systems, virtualization, and systems software for heterogeneous many-core platforms, emerging non-volatile memories, large scale datacenter and cloud systems, high-performance communication technologies and support for novel end-user devices and services.

Shyh-Chiang Shen

Shyh-Chiang Shen

Shyh-Chiang Shen received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2001. He was a key contributor of high-cycle low-voltage radio-frequency (RF) microelectromechanical system (MEMS) switches and GaAs metal-semiconductor field effect transistors (MESFETs) millimeter-wave integrated circuits (MMICs) during his tenure at UIUC.

Saibal Mukhopadhyay

Saibal Mukhopadhyay

Saibal Mukhopadhyay received the bachelor of engineering degree in electronics and telecommunication engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India in 2000 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in August 2006. He joined the faculty of the Georgia Institute of Technology in September 2007. Mukhopadhyay worked at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, N.Y. as research staff member from August 2006 to September 2007 and as an intern in summers of 2003, 2004, and 2005.

Sung Kyu Lim

Sung Kyu Lim

Sung Kyu Lim was born and grew up in Seoul, Korea, and moved to Los Angeles with his family at the age of 19. He received B.S. (1994), M.S. (1997), and Ph.D. (2000) degrees all from the Computer Science Department of University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). During 2000-2001, he was a post-doctoral scholar at UCLA, and a senior engineer at Aplus Design Technologies, Inc. In August 2001, he joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology an assistant professor.

Tushar Krishna

Tushar Krishna

Tushar Krishna is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech. He also holds the ON Semiconductor Junior Professorship. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT (2014), a M.S.E in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University (2009), and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi (2007). Before joining Georgia Tech in 2015, Krishna spent a year as a researcher at the VSSAD group at Intel, Massachusetts.

Richard Fujimoto

Richard Fujimoto

Richard Fujimoto is a Regents’ Professor, Emeritus in the School of Computational Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He received the Ph.D. degree from the University of California-Berkeley in 1983 in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He also received an M.S. degree from the same institution as well as two B.S. degrees from the University of Illinois-Urbana.
