Chuck Zhang

Harold E. Smalley Professor

Chuck Zhang is a Professor in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also an affiliated faculty member at Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute (GTMI). Zhang's research interests include additive manufacturing (3D printing and printed electronics), multifunctional composites/nanocomposite materials development, and integrated computational materials and manufacturing engineering. His research projects have been sponsored by a number of organizations including AFOSR, ARL, NIST, NSF, ONR, SME and VA, as well as industrial companies such as ATK, Cummins, General Dynamics, GKN, and Siemens Power Generation. Dr. Zhang has published over 150 refereed journal articles and 180 conference papers. He also holds 20 US patents.
