The Robert M. Nerem International Travel Award is an annual award that was endowed by Bob Nerem's colleagues and friends. As IBB's founding director, Bob passionately served the community as its founding director for over 14 years and successfully led the Institute to international prominence in bioengineering and bioscience.

Bob loved to travel and went to all corners of the world. It is through his travel that he served as a great champion for Georgia Tech and the bio-community.
