Andrea Bé
Assistant Director, Business Operations


Andrea Bé is the Assistant Director of Business Operations for the office. She is responsible for the overall business actitivies of the office, project management of key initiatives, and serves as the human resource contact.

William B. Cutts
Senior Director


Bill Cutts is currently a Senior Director in the Office of Industry Collaboration. He is responsible for facilitating industry engagement and business development across a broad spectrum in the technology sectors. He is responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with organizations strategically important to Georgia Tech.

Gloria Griessman
Director, Commercialization


Gloria Griessman serves as an architect for technology commercialization strategies. She is responsible for directing and guiding the assessment of commercial market opportunities for expanding contract research opportunities, developing commercialization strategies for intellectual property and for developing commercialization strategies for public-private collaborative research programs.

Carl A. Rust
Senior Director


Carl A. Rust is a Senior Director in the Office of Industry Collaboration at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he is responsible for pursuing industry collaboration, entrepreneurship, commercialization, and economic development. He is responsible for leading the development of strategic relationships with industry sponsors, and directs others in conducting such efforts, especially in pursuit major initiatives by the Interdisciplinary Research Institutes, colleges and, schools. He helps develop strategies for expansion of Tech’s innovation collaboration efforts with industry, specifically focusing on building relationships with co-located innovation centers. Between his tenure at both Georgia Tech and the University of Maryland, Rust has accumulated more than 24 years of experience in industry-university partnerships, technology transfer, new business development, commercialization, innovation-led economic development.

Rasha Shawky
Administrative Professional Senior


Rasha Shawky is the Assistant to the Vice President and provides administrative support and scheduling for the unit. She is responsible for calendar maintenance, preparing and managing correspondence, coordination of travel arrangements, providing technical and logistical support for meetings, conferences, and workshops, processing of visit requests.

George White, Ph.D.
Interim Vice President


Dr. George White is Interim Vice President in the Office of Industry Collaboration, with speciality in electronic materials and systems. Dr. White provides expert support in developing strategies for expansion of the Institute's innovation collaboration with industry, specifically focusing on building relationships based on electronic materials and systems with the electronics and communications industries.

Olof Westerstahl
Associate Director for Strategic Industry Collaboration


Olof Westerstahl is Associate Director for Strategic Industry Collaboration in the Office of Industry Collaboration. In this role, he is responsible for facilitating industry engagement and tailoring research collaboration for companies seeking significant engagement with Georgia Tech as well as working closely with Georgia Tech units seeking a strategic approach to engage with industry.
