Yalong Yang

I am an assistant professor in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech. Before joining Georgia Tech, I spent two wonderful years at Virginia Tech as a faculty member. Prior to this, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Visual Computing Group at Harvard University, and received my Ph.D. from Human-Centred Computing Department, Monash University, Australia.

Christopher J. MacLellan

Christopher J. MacLellan is an Assistant Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology, where he leads the Teachable AI Lab (TAIL; https://tail.cc.gatech.edu). His work on cognitive systems aims to advance our understanding of how people teach and learn and to build AI systems that can teach and learn like people do and in ways that are compatible with people.

Athanassios Economou

Athanassios Economou

Athanassios (Thanos) Economou is Professor at the School of Architecture in the College of Design, and Adjunct Professor at the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Economou’s teaching and research are in the areas of shape grammars, computational design, computer-aided design and design theory, with over sixty published papers in these areas.

Henrik Christensen

Henrik Christensen

Henrik I Christensen is the Qualcomm Chancellor's Chair of Robot Systems and the director of the Contextual Robotics Institute at UC San Diego, and also a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. 

Dr. Christensen was initially trained in Mechanical Engineering and worked subsequently with MAN/BW Diesel. He earned M.Sc. and Ph.D. EE degrees from Aalborg University, 1987 and 1990, respectively. 

Harish Ravichandar

Harish Ravichandar

Harish is an Assistant Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also a core faculty member of Georgia Tech’s Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines (IRIM). His research interests span the areas of robot learning, human-robot interaction, and multi-agent systems. He directs the Structured Techniques for Algorithmic Robotics (STAR) Lab, where he and his team works on structured algorithms that help robots reliably operate and collaborate in unstructured environments alongside humans.

Zsolt Kira

Zsolt Kira

I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Interactive Computing in the College of Computing. I am also affiliated with the Georgia Tech Research Institute and serve as an Associate Director of ML@GT which is the machine learning center recently created at Georgia Tech. Previously I was a Research Scientist at SRI International Sarnoff in Princeton, and before that received my Ph.D. in 2010 with Professor Ron Arkin as my advisor. I lead the RobotIcs Perception and Learning (RIPL) lab.

Sehoon Ha


I'm an assistant professor at Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining Georgia Tech, I was a research scientist at Google and Disney Research Pittsburgh. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015. My advisor was Dr. C. Karen Liu. I have a B.S. degree in Computer Science from KAIST in 2009. I am interested in character animation, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

Ashok Goel

Ashok Goel is a Professor of Computer Science in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. At Georgia Tech, he is also the Director of the Ph.D. Program in Human-Centered Computing, a Co-Director of the Center for Biologically Inspired Design, and a Fellow of Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems.
