As healthcare becomes increasingly shaped by multidisciplinary forces, the modern delivery of care requires a new level of interprofessional collaboration and innovation. The 2025 IHI Case Competition provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students  to  tackle a  real-world health challenge by developing innovative, actionable solutions.

This event invites teams of 3-5 members, representing at least two disciplines, to propose  thoughtful solutions aimed at improving  health delivery and care management. Teams will compete for a prize pool of $9,000, and have the chance to connect with some of the nation’s top healthcare and quality improvement leaders.

In 2025, undergraduate and graduate students from any college or university in the following states are eligible to participate.

South / Mid-Atlantic: TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, KY, WV, VA, MD, DE

Northeast: PA, NJ, CT, RI, MA, NY, VT, NH, ME
