We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to lead the machine learning analysis for a project mentored by Prof. Jing Li (https://www.isye.gatech.edu/users/jing-li), School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (https://www.isye.gatech.edu), Center for Machine Learning (https://ml.gatech.edu), at Georgia Tech and in close collaboration with Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI, https://www.gtri.gatech.edu). This project revolves around the development of machine learning algorithms for data analysis, pattern recognition, and predictive analytics using spectroscopy and other relevant datasets.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement machine learning algorithms appropriate for the data and project goals.
Collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary research team.
Lead the reporting and publishing of research findings.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. with background in data analytics, statistics, bioinformatics, machine learning, or chemical/bio/biomedical engineering with machine learning experience. The funding is flexible and may be converted to supporting a Ph.D. student research assistant for strong candidates who can fulfill the responsibilities and have the indicated experience.
Prior experience with spectroscopy data is not required.
Proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning libraries.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
