David White
David White leads the Office of Academic Administration, which provides academic advising for the BS and MS degrees in Computer Science. Mr. White coordinates the schedule of classes with the College's three Schools and the Division of Computing Instruction, and works with the College's Technology Services Organization to provide student information systems. He also frequently represents the College on academic initiatives, including the Institute's steering committee for Complete College Georgia.
Valerie Sitterle
Dr. Sitterle is a Principal Research Engineer at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), where her technical work synthesizes systems science, complex systems, and defense analysis. She is an expert with over 20 years of experience in engineering science, integrating engineering, natural, and physical sciences leading to the design and analysis of systems.
Andrea Grimes Parker
Andrea Grimes Parker is an Associate Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and at Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Parker holds a Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from Georgia Tech and a B.S. in Computer Science from Northeastern University. She is the founder and director of the Wellness Technology Lab at Georgia Tech.
Lisa Marks
Lisa Marks is a designer and educator teaching studio courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Georgia Tech. Her current research focuses on methods of combining endangered and traditional handcraft with algorithmic modeling in order to produce new modes of production. She has a Master of Industrial Design from Parsons School of Design and worked in New York for clients including Google, Nike, and Swarovski.
Yanni Loukissas
Yanni Loukissas is an Associate Professor of Digital Media in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at Georgia Tech. His research is focused on helping creative professionals think critically about the social implications of emerging technologies.
Wayne Li
Wayne K. Li is the James L. Oliver Professor, which is a joint position between the Colleges of Design and Engineering. Through classes and the Innovation and Design Collaboration (IDC), he leads joint teaching initiatives and advances interdisciplinary collaboration between mechanical engineering and industrial design. Endowed by School of Industrial Design alumnus James L. Oliver, II (BS ID 1965, ME 1967), the Oliver professor embodies the idea of "multidisciplinary." Li teaches students that design behavior bridges the language and ideological gap between engineering and design.
Michael Hoffmann
Michael Hoffmann is a Professor for Philosophy in the School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech. He is the Director of the Reflect! Lab, Co-Director of ETHICx, the Ethics, Technology, and Human Interaction Center, and he directs the VIP Digital Deliberation.
Karen J. Head
Dr. Karen Head (Ph.D. University of Nebraska, M.A. University of Tennessee, B.A. Oglethorpe University, A.A. DeKalb College) was previously the Associate Chair and Professor in Georgia Tech's School of Literature, Media, and Communication and Executive Director of the Institute-wide Communication Center. She has been at Georgia Tech since 2004.
Tim Trent
Tim began working as the GVU Center’s Research Technologist in 2018. In conjunction with IPaT, he
developed, designed, and launched the Craft Lab in 2022 and is serving as the director of the
Prototyping, Craft, and Usability labs. Tim provides strategic oversight of the tools and technologies
present in these “innovation labs” and seeks opportunities to grow and shape the spaces to match the
ever-changing research landscape. These spaces are an essential component of the research within IPaT
